      ... Creek Pass, were in rain off and on all day.  In Monte Vista, we drove through where it had hailed quite a bit and we too drove in some hail. We stopped at Alamosa for lunch then drove on to Walsenburg where we got on the interstate.  We stopped for gas at Trinidad, Colorado for gas before crossing into New Mexico.   We got off the interstate at highway 64 and found this to be a nice 4 lane road all the way to Clayton, ...

      ... long on the road, we saw some pronghorn, even some babies.  Then I saw a pheasant in a field.  Another field was full of cattle... We stopped at Painted desert/petrified forest national park. We saw 2 coyotes and a model A that sat where route 66 used to be.   We also saw some pictographs and an village of ancient natives. This was very interesting.       Up very early for flight from Jackson to DFW then home. Girls are getting dropped off in St Louis at their Dad's then Charley is home to Dublin. Hopefully their travel will be ok. Delta is trying to make it diff. Some tears shed and the Memo wave at the airport. Great vacation and perfect family to travel with. I am a very blessed man. We made it home safe.
