... us to hold on. There was one section where we surfed the wave and our tour guide said that we had a massive chance of falling in!

We didn't fall in but it was exciting to ride a wave and we tried that many times.

When we finished we tipped the guide generously as he was cool and informative which was rare.

We then waited for the horseback riders to come back to the bus and we then set off for Albuquerque.

... National Park to camp in an old orchard. The free apricots were abundant and tasty. At lunch that day we met Kirsty, a 19 YO from England riding solo. Though an experienced traveler she is new to riding at all, never toured. So she was on a lousy bike heading for a difficult stretch from Hanksville to Blanding UT. ... parents bought all of us dinner at a Chinese restaurant. Delicious. SUS (the southern route for Bike & Build) sent us a mysterious package full of head shots and profiles so we pursued through those. Dinner was good; I sat with Carlee, Tay, Leash, Mitch and Katie. As we walked back to host, we stopped in a local bookstore. And anyone who knows anything about me knows how much I love a local bookstore. Mail time! Scrabbling in the dirt to try and pick up all the ashes (however few) was not a good feeling.
