... to go back to Siem Reap to teach) and were paying less than two pounds each a night!!! Bargain !!! We had heard loads about the famous night market in Trat so that's where we headed for dinner. And the market did not disappoint, fresh fruit, food, smoothies and milkshakes and bakery everywhere !!! All fresh and clean and ready to eat ! Oh and did I mention cheap!!! ... as there are mainly steep hills and according to the locals every year 200 people die riding a scouter on the island or at least get a „Koh Chang Tattoo“, which is nothing else but huge bruises after falling. I stayed 2 nights in Lonely Beach, where many Backpackers stay (easily recognized by the all the offers of hash and mushrooms during the day). Afterwards I moved to Kai Bae, a more touristy area but still relaxed and calm.

... reaction. As well as the big fish there were also the tiny fish which are used for fish spas, we suspected this when they started nibbling on our toes. Wrinkly and out of breath we trekked back through the jungle back to our motorbike.

... start? We walked into a little Thai shop to which the lady said ahh you need to go up and back over the hill, great, 25kg of bag on back in 30 odd c of heat and we have to climb a hill.

Lucky half was up the hill we stopped a taxi driver who knew where the resort was, thank god, it would have been a long walk with a heavy bag on back and i would have ended up a few inches shorter than i already am.
