This was supposed to be a 1/2 day outing..........but We started early in the morning after a lovely salad, grilled vegetables, sausage ( from yesterday), ham and egg breakfast. Sue cooked up a storm! We had heard that we needed to park outside the city wall for the day and walk in. Paid parking of course as car spaces are at a premium. ... one of Tuscany's well-known hill towns. (You may have also heard of the wine! ��). I had hoped to catch a bus around 11 am so that I could really spend the day. However, since it isn't really summer yet, the earliest bus was at 1:00. This gave me about 3 hours in Montepulciano before needing to catch the last bus back to Siena at 5:40. ... it out of the city with nary a wrong turn (thanks to some stellar navigating) and were on the Autostrade. There, we did miss an exit, but after a little back-peddling, we were back on track.
