    Great nights sleep and a lovely blue sky to greet us this morning at Flathead Lake. Plans for a morning swim disappeared as we decided to get up and go early and head for Hungry Horse, best place in the world for huckleberries according to Krista Wendle, our Montana expert friend...So by about 10am we were sitting in "The Huckleberry Patch" in Hungry Horse with a plateful of huckleberry pancakes each...just great!     ... all refurbished (33) and paid for entirely by Ford Motor Company ($3Million).

    We enter the park on the West Entrance and drive a short distance to a little "village" at Lake McDonald. There is a nice old style Lodge there and some shops.

    We took a short drive up the road beside Lake McDonald (10 miles long), but we wanted to save the "Going to the Sun Road" for the professionals!

    Can't wait for tomorrow!

    ... 5.00 per gallon. We only got 4 gallons and then stopped at the next station and paid $3.54. Gas prices have been high throughout the trip. Lowest about $3.50 to $3.79.

    We are so pleased with our accommodations. If the two VRBO that we have stayed at are typical we will definitely us them again. Less expensive that Hotels and lots of amenities.
