Just a side note about "dog people" and "dog culture"... We have owned 3 dogs over the past 30 years. Until this most recent dog, Sammy, we just got a puppy, added it into the family mix and moved on. We had a dog, but we were not "dog people". I did not realize what this meant until this new dog. Now that we're preparing to leave I want to catch up on our time here on Longboat Key.

We have enjoyed two wonderful months seeing friends and family! We've walked miles of beach and consumed way too much good food and wine!

We've tried some new restaurants and some old favorites. I'm going to have to get back to basic cooking once we return to Europe. Fortunately I've kept our daily ...

... Notwithstanding the generality of the foregoing, the parties agree........sorry I got carried away there for a minute, God I miss writing those kinds of letters!
Anyway, today we begin our preparations for being homeless again by doing laundry, washing the car and packing for being on the road again Saturday. The short term plan is a visit with Bill and Trish and Tony and Dagnia by looping back yet again to St.Augustine beach for the weekend and then on to Pensacola to stay ...
