... pie thanks to Dylan and Christal the newly arrived Canadian couple. It was really great to have a surrogate family for the holidays! Now I’m feeling like many of us do the day after Christmas, that a good run or some sort of getting the blood pumping is well due.
(I apologize for not having any photos but my camera and ipod got wet at the beach and are sitting in a bag of rice while I’m praying they’ll recover.) ...

Parade begins with the bag pipers and they are rocking the kilts and walk perfectly! Soon comes the obligatory fire truck, parade of cars and simple floats with kids waving and throwing out Christmas candy. The event is over in a half hour. This is a small town but everyone treated it like it was the Macy's ...

... the infamous glow worms of the Waitomo Cave whilst floating down a river in big rubber rings. Whilst this sounds fairly tame, we got to jump (backwards) off a couple of waterfalls inside the caves which was amazing fun, as well as squeezing through the 'laundry shoot' (a narrow tunnel in which I managed to get myself stuck and for a couple of minutes thought I might never see daylight again!). Oh, and the water was a freezing 10 degrees!

... got to be in the water, I was being a total wimp in the cold water and tiff schooled me with her digging. Jamie cooked up some fritters with them though and they were alright, I'm sure the batter, herbs & deep-frying helped! Did some underground exploring with my good mate Maja at the Waipu caves they were full of super cool glow worms! Went on a trip to see ...

Holladrio.

Was ist das fuer ein Radau beim Fuehstueck? Mist, schon wieder Schweineinvasion in der Garage. Watt ne Sauerei. Also Ordnung machen & die Futterbehaelter vorbereiten. Hurtig hurtig, denn wir wollen ja noch auf Tour gehen. Dauert alles inklusive feed-out & bin-washing doch n bisl laenger.
So kommen wir erst um 1 p.m. los.
Das Fahren mit Mikes Auto, mit Tip-Tronic, laeuft jedoch besser als bei ...
