We took it slowly this morning. Packed our wet things and went for breakfast. After an hour or so, Sunny got there. Asked what he did with his wet stuff, he replied he got it to the laundry right across the street. So I hurried over to have them done all my dirty laundry for the astronomical amount of 650 Bath. Which isn't cheap for 5,4 kilos, but I like to have it cleaned and dry. The sun was out against all predictions. Sunny gave us an amazing tour ...

Jungle Gen also discovered that tarantulas live in holes, and wouldn't shut up about it (really, with a name like Jungle Gen, I would expect her to know that ...

The weekend of the 7 / 8 December had been designated as the official start of the 2013 tourist season in Khao Lak. There were various events planned for the next few days but everything kicked off with a parade through the town on Friday evening.

I was unaware that preparations for the parade were underway on the pavement just outside my resort and so when I sauntered out to take a walk and came face to face with several ...

... no idea whether or not we should be allowed in, but he motioned for us to come (after taking off our shoes) and invited us warmly to look around with his gestures. He was especially fond of my necklace-reaching out to grab it he then said something in a language that I did not understand, but he seemed quite pleased by it. We communicated to each other with our smiles. As we were leaving, he reached out to shake both of our hands-leaving us to set out on the rest of ...
