... and we have a breeze. This park is on a huge reservoir and although you can see your neighbour; you can’t hear them. We are surrounded by mountains and are in a valley of grass lands. Oh, did I mention the rage river that flows through the park? This is actual water people. We haven’t seen any water raging in over two months! Colorado has water and temperatures under 100ᵒ F! ... the view was worth it.

After leaving Silverton, we came across a thermal springs that we stopped and took a look at. We were able to get right up to the spring. The water was warm but not too hot. We continued the loop and ended up in Cortez for dinner.

Tomorrow we pack up and head to South Fork.

... over the street from one end. Ouray, like so many other towns in Colorado, was an old mining town. Its Main Street is registered as a National Historic District. There's a road leading off the Main Street that leads to a pretty waterfall. The hike up to the base is incredibly steep, but we had just eaten elk burgers and washed them down with beer so it was all good. The girls enjoyed being able to take a dip in the cool water once we got to the base. ...

... day. The scenery took our breath away so we stopped a lot for pictures and to soak it all in. After lunch, we made a pit stop for some shaved ice and cruised into the host after what ended up being a longer day than expected, but definitely the kind of day it's worth taking the time to enjoy every bit of it.
