... Dark Chocolate S'mores and the peace of a fire next to the rapids falling down from Silver Lake.

Following the Animas to Silverton, we set our sights on the peaks surrounding Ouray. The Tacoma took us back through the valley and we stopped shortly at Idarado to explore the much younger ghosthouses. The pastels and funky turquoise shutters definitely screamed the 70's.
The old twin peaks trailhead may or may not have been under reconstruction, ...
