Since I've last blogged, we've tackled another build day (this one in Buena Vista), a hilly 83 mile ride into Gunnison from Buena Vista (yay Monarch Pass!), and have accomplished today's 92 mile ride in some pretty high temperatures. I was part of the "Beautification" crew on the build day. The 8 of us were responsible for weeding the entire front yard of the Habitat ReStore in Buena Vista. ... hear distant, rolling thunder as we drove. We were happy to get back down off the top of the treeless mountain, and down into the wooded area again. Here, we saw more flowers, and more distant views of the mountains across the valley. This road wasn't long, but it was certainly very beautiful, and definitely well worth it!

... into a flower filled meadow and then to a basin with 13,000 foot mountains. That was our lunch spot. We never passed a hiker or car all day. I will post pictures when we get to Denver on Friday or Saturday. No good wifi for pics right now.
