We left Black Lake today and headed toward Vermont. We didn't make it.
We did, however, drive through the Adirondacks and somehow managed to drive into the bike portion of an Ironman race. No, I mean we drove into it! Imagine how those guys on bikes felt after swimming for 2.4 miles, then trying to ride their bikes for 112 miles, only ...

We had a relaxed morning and then dropped into a historic spot to try a local legendary taste delight for lunch. Anyone who knows Wayne knows he is a hot dog nut. We just had to go and try a Michigan Hot Dog. I had never heard of this but it's legendary in this area.

... eight… but I thought the float plane was cool! Finally Dad and I would row out about 2/3 of the way to Crown Point and drop his buoy marking his fishing spot. Crown Point was across the lake from our dock, a distance of about mile. The Lake Trout fishing was excellent as I remember. Dad would go out every morning early and also in the evening. He taught me how to clean them, and it was at Massawepie I caught my first fish.

    The border crossing

A travel blog entry by b_btravel on Mar 28, 2014

So the time had finally come for us to cross the border and say good bye to the beautiful and friendly Canadian people. There was some apprehension I will admit. We had our story straight, had a travel destination and had all required passports at the ready. We were two Australian residents, driving a car purchased and insured in British Columbia heading into New York State to visit for less than 90 days. We had a flight out of the country and had enough money to look after ...
