... small town called Manitou Springs. For a small town, there were heaps of people there. We decided to go up to see Pikes Peak. There was a line up to drive to the top and cost us $12 each. A bit expensive we thought, but as it was too hard to turn around, we continued on. I am glad we did not turn around, and both agree, that that was the best $24 we have spent on this trip so far. ... 10:25 to get onto the road that would take us to Fairplay. We did so (with not much time to spare, I think), and headed up Hoosier Pass. In all my years of living in Colorado, I'm not sure that I'd ever been over Hoosier. The crowds were good there -- rivaling Independence Pass, I think.
