    ... had a good chat to a Scottish couple from Aberdeen? who were quite alive and vibrant and experiencing the same issues as us...
    Came home and had a snack of proscuito and melon with cheese and crackers, and rhen showered and changed before heading down to the camp retaurant for dinner - not bloody bad!
    I had a terrific pork shank, and Treas also had some roast pork which was just excellent -not bad for €17, plus €8 for a decent bottle ...

    ... the scene of enough ugly traffic confrontations due to it being so narrow, that they have installed traffic lights at each end of the problem area which allow the traffic to flow in each direction for maybe 2 minutes at a time, but alternating one-way direction. We didn't die!
    But managed to find a suitable car-park (hallelujah!) and walked ...

    Montepulciano is beautuful! I have wandered the old town laneways all day. Easy to reach by bus from Pienza, Siena, or the main tration station in this region, calked Chiusi.

    I am in transit today after a few hiccups. .

    I booked a day trip from Florence to, and around the wine region of Montelpulciano to hop off and stay in that neighbourhood. The tour company forgot to tell me they cancelled it so I checked out a train options and booked that to get in the general direction.
