      ... from a distance. Let me say this Craig is great at helping me achieve all my little goals/adventures and things to find in Italy. We did stop at Pienza, which was truly delightful – almost a little Pistoia with a lovely city square, great views and beautiful streets to amble down.       ... to Volterra for the novel, but to Montepulciano to take pictures of where the scene was actually shot. So:

      ... any food, no milk for coffee (this is the real disaster!) and no dinner. What to do you ask? Well when you are traveling abroad you have to plan ahead for these little problems. I didn't. So what to do, well if you go on the autostrassa (big highways) then the service stations are open. I am observant. Off we go and find one that is open and grab some spaghetti and sauce, bread and milk. Good to go now (as long as there is coffee!).

      Phillip has still not been well. The symptoms of cold, sore throat and swollen glands were what I had two weeks prior and what we both picked up in Jerusalem.

      No doctor at our local medical centre Friday or Saturday, however here in Italy (as in Israel) you can obtain antibiotics across the counter at the local pharmacy. So we self-diognosed him having the same virus I had and bought the antibiotics ...
