Today we set off on a longer day trip to see Devil's bridge. To be fair, the trip was great, and Devil's bridge was nice to see, but it was a heck of a trip to get there !! Not helped by our satnav which decided to take us on a 10km detour only to bring us back to where we ...

... is still a big hotel at the top of the hill with amazing 180 degree views of the coast - but it is now completely derelict. We air wheeled up there to explore and it's a real shame that it is no longer used as it is in a fantastic location - and apparently it used to have a swimming pool on the roof too ! We were also lucky to have another nice sunset down on the beach so yet more sunset photies coming up ...

We managed to get there just in time to enjoy the sunset too which was ...

we travelled to San Giovanni and on arrival had some difficulty finding the hotel but after about 20 minutes and help from a local "Mama" we did, We had to bang in the door and the home tel and restaurant looked pretty closed. We were shown to our room which was fine and had a large balcony with partial sea view. The man who checked us in did not speak or understand a word of English and, ...

... little disappointed that very few trains we have used haven't had first class carriages as that has meant that I have paid for a first class pass when I possibly could have bought a second class ticket and saved myself some money? Never mind, it's all an adventure! My book on Yootha Joyce was also disappointing me, as the author has obviously tried to research her but a very private person has meant a book with a lot of surmised information. I am over ...
