Then off to see the piazza di spagna and Spanish steps (also a little underwhelming due to the hundreds of street peddlers - they even started arguing with each other as they both offered me a rose at the same time and the church at the top of the steps was covered in scaffolding and canvas adverts!) we did see another wedding while we were there. I hope it all dries:/ Only one more goodbye in the morning then off to Catania Airport to return our trusty little Fiat and onto ...

After lunch with family we headed up with a first class, drive up to the top, locals pass with Andrea and Barbara to the Tindari to have a wander and view the old church which has been closed for nearly 100 years as it is perched precariously on the clifftop. It is open to the public occasionally and today we were lucky enough to see inside. We spent about an hour looking around and then headed up to see the Grecian ampitheatre and ...

After a late night ( or should I say early morning) yesterday we had a very slow start to the day, having brunch at 11. Went to the beach for a quick walk, chatted with an American couple who spend 5 months here every year and then a swim and home for gnocchi lunch at ...
