    ... for the day. A very long travel day that was.

    Now in the Aeolian Islands, the first day starts off with a huge storm, then by midday its a nice sunny day. I short walk from my apartment is the really nice pedestrian street in Lipari. Its like time has stood still here, with nice old buildings, nothing new or modern at all.

    Well I have been very behind on my posts! But I went on the school trip to Capri, Sorrento, Naples and Pompeii It was one of the best trips I have been on! I loved everything we got to see and do, the first day we went and saw mount Vesuvius, amazing! Then we left and went to Sorrento, it was so beautiful and i was so glad to see the ocean again! We got to stay at the Central hotel, it was very nice so if you ever go to Sorento you should stay ...

    Capri Positano Got up really early and Kate and I headed off to Capri on a ferry. Mum still unwell. Gorgeous day we had the whole day here. No rushing. Our tour was cancelled as only 11 people wanted to do it and we needed 16 so instead we went on our own boat ride around the whole outside of Capri and into the Blue Caves.     The train ride from Palermo to Milazzo was comfortable and delicious, with our picnic gleaned from the Mercato di Ballaro. Upon arrival at the Milazzo train station we transferred to a local bus for a ten minute ride to the ferry terminal.
