... After a bath and some rest we met the group for a gondola ride. Our tour captain was able to get the only female gondola singer to sing on our boat. She was wonderful. We then did a pub crawl. We did 3 different pubs, getting wine and bites to eat at each. The final course was dessert and shots of lemon gelato mixed with vodka. ...

... got engaged while we were here. Too cute!
Then the group splices yet again: into a ducal palace group and a gondola group. I opted for ducal palace. Which was amazing. The furnishings were just incredible. Great ...

After this we headed back the way we came towards Tronchetto. But before we got there we stopped and had some dinner. As we watched the locals hurry by, we sipped Coronas and had some delicious pasta, it was a great start to our time in Italy. We then headed back to Tronchetto and caught our bus to the hostel, where we hung out in the bar and drank some ...

... was. I wandered next door and there were two men making glass horses we could watch (little horses). It looked challenging - they start with a blob and quickly pull out ears, head, legs, rotate to elongate body, next set of legs, and finally chop off the tail from their main rod. It must all be done in under a minute before the glass cools. Awesome! The next places I went weren't so nice - pushy salesmen. I had a hard time finding demonstrations after those first two I saw ...
