Siena - A Medieval City
... rather than the usual items in cathedrals. The place is magnificent and one imagines that they put down special flooring when the horse is paraded into the church.
We had a coffee and an excellent pastry at Cafe Nannini and a great gelato from Grom. Both stops were wonderful breaks from our wandering around.
Off to Naples and the Amalfi Coast for one week before we wind up in Rome for the grand finale.

Wedding Day
... villa at the time! We have all felt strange in different areas of the villa as well. All in all, this was a very interesting part of our trip.
The wedding was held in Monteriggioni. The town is very picturesque and the town hall is very old, being built in the medieval ages. It really was quite hot but the wedding was really nice. ...

... Maria), and Dymph's husband Mick. We had a good look around at Florence. We saw the open air museum with the sculptures spotted here and there, the ancient leather market and the Accademia where Michaelangelo's statue of David is on display. The statue is pretty awesome!

Sienna
Week 20... 12/07/2012 – 15/07/2012
The next morning I caught the bus to Sienna. On the way to sienna we did a stop over at a small town named Oriveto (check out the blog for Orviveto). I arrived at sienna at about 1:30 and checked into my room (tent). The tent was boiling hot and it was on a slant with no lights or nothing….true camping styles hahaha.

Venice and Milan!
... Saint Mark and the island we stayed on in Venice was called "San Marco". The tour of the Doge's Palace was the only planned group activity of the trip so then we were on our own until Friday morning! On wed night me and my 5 friends went on a Gondala ride through the back canals of Venice, it was still light out so we were able to see Marco Polo's palace and the Bridge of Sigh's where families would wave to their prisoners as prisoners were shipped off to their death.
