... than usual, but between my dehydration and the heat, I had developed a good pair of cankles.

We browsed the shops, and though I didn’t find the shoes I was looking for, I did find some other goods to bring home. We had a nice time shopping and then decided to walk all the way to the water, which we’d had yet to do in any of the cities. I grabbed a gelato for the walk… Cream of Cinque Terre and Cream of Vernazza. I ...

Lucca After a good nights sleep, we hit the streets again today. We walked,.....ducked into shops,.....and had a nice lunch. I was becoming disappointed that I might not see Guiseppi (spelled incorrectly earlier) this trip. I have a phone number for him,...but left it at home in my old passport cover. We walked back to San Michele Square over and over, but no luck. Then it occurred to me that The had a picture and me and him from last year ...

... a leisurely lunch and then wander the antique market that comes to town on the weekend. I'm kind of in denial that today is my last day but I bought my train ticket back to Firenze so I guess I am really leaving. I have to say it has been fun sharing my adventures with all of you. Now it is time to plan for the next one. I'm thinking that going to Spanish language school in Peru sounds good. Anyone want to pay me to do that??? LOL Ciao for ...

... we have to find the AC by Marriott Hotel, walk a little then head back to the station for a cab. We have not made a reservation due to all the uncertainty, and hoping they will allow us to use our points. The desk clerk calls Marriott for us and everything works out fine, points wise. Like Florence, the rooms are tiny with a big bed, no free internet and very expensive food. Get those business travelers with expense accounts when you can.
