... Ave and Luciano could not be more different! Ave is such a flower-child and so is Luciano. Their home is very colorful and full of souvenirs from many different countries such as Egypt, Peru, Morocco, and India. ... clearly retired or died and has been replaced with what appears to be a plaster cast mask covering the face. Not quite as romantic and bizarre ... but times change. The cross from San Damiano remains in the basilica - it's the one from the ruined church that spoke to Francis and told him to re-build the church.
