A day of all weather

all decided it was time for a cuppa!!! Well, yet again its not holiday season
and every shop up here at the summit was closed!! Not even a cup of hot
chocolate could be had!!
I headed down the twisty roads of the other side of the pass and could see
for miles as I went. I had to be extremely careful when braking as there was
quite a lot of ice and some large lumps of snow on the road.

Tour with a monk
... stone, a room full of marquetry work in wooden seats that line the front of the church depicting everyone from Jesus and Mary to Apostles to Saints. There must have been 50 of these seats where the choir sat. They were unreal.
My favorite part of the monastery that was so wonderful was where the monks lived and were hermits. You walked out into a courtyard that had these little brick houses connected to the back side of an arcade (see this for pictures ...
