An afternoon of olives
... the net to gather the olives all in one spot, Dump the olives into a bucket, then into a burlap bag, and heave the bag over your shoulder and carry it up the hill. Nothing to it! We breaked for lunch. I ate the biggest plate of pasta in my life! Spaghetti with homemade tomato sauce, made with homegrown tomatoes. Delizioso! Also fresh formaggio (pecorino) and red wine. ... speak little of Italian. So it leads to short sentence conversations that are lots of fun and definitely sincere on both our parts. Actually I do remembr some of the words I learned, and being "forced" to speak it is the best way for me to learn. That's it for now. Off to walk up the hill to Lisa & Helena's to harvest olives!
