... what Google gets paid for. Just know that the natural beauty of the coastline and turquoise blue water were absolutely stunning. As we hiked down to the water we could not help but stop and admire the scene in front of us. A popular activity among the youngsters is to jump off the surrounding cliffs. Apparently I thought I was one of these young whippersnappers! It took some serious convincing and motivation, but I jumped off the cliffs a few times. Almost 29 years ...

One of the highlights of the trip so far was our morning ballooning with Chris and Claire from "Ballooning in Tuscany". In between all of this, Kathy and I worked on the vegetable of the day - artichokes. Artichokes are in season and we saw them on every menu. We had to peel the artichoke so as to remove all the harder outside leaves leaving only the softer inside. We also had to shave down the stem so that when it was done, the artichoke looked like a dreidel. ...

After we left Pitigliano we headed west to check out Orvieto. Just as we were approaching the town we came upon a lookout where we could see the town sitting up on the hill. Breathtaking view. Although not technically in Tuscany it is a classic example of a hill town.

We parked the car and wandered up some streets until we ...
