Waking up, after a frustrating night of sleep, to see that Notre Dame beat Michigan 31-0, made it a great start to a fabulous day! We enjoyed our "substantial Tyrollean breakfast" of yogurt, fruit, breads, pastries, Nutella, meats and cheeses before heading out to mass. The church here in Casterotto is massive. It is like to the church we went to in Kruth, France in style but much much bigger and more crowded. We walked through the very unusual cemetery prior to mass: ...
Today was quite a day! We struggled getting Madelyn and Mason to bed last night (not until midnight!), so woke up groggy, stiff from the hard mattress and with a scratchy throat (me). The church bell tower not only rang out the time, but also the hymn of "Immaculate Mary"; a nice way to wake up. As this was where we were intending to finish it did not seem to matter so much. Instead of strolling around the lake at lake level we were treated to views from above. Sue was foraging on the way there and ...
... They do not seem to do salad and mains together here. We walked around the castle in the dark. It is all lit up and stunning. More photos. Our room is dark with it's imposing dark furniture and panelled walls and the lighting is dim. Just as you would expect really. We realised that we can't remember where our AU SIM cards were put. Had a little look but really can't remember. Ah well, this time we will need to organise a pick up ahead of ...
