... quiet snowy this week which meant that the conditions were great, although visibility at times a challenge (or was that my age?).
Last year we tried Loon for the day. This year we ventured up to Cannon which was wonderful. Slightly more dated than WV, but fabulous trails, great food and a wide selection of craft beers.
... for our meal at Krista's restaurant. It sat at the end of a row of antique shops and looked real fancy. And it was. We didn't have reservations but we could sit outside on the deck. Fine by us. It over looked the river and was covered in Chinese lanterns lighting up in all different colours. Why are people sitting inside? It's gorgeous out here.

We all chatted for ages then Molly showed us around. We could either spend the night in the haunted smelly school bus which has been there 25 years of the cute little cabin. I think we'll take the cabin.
We spent the night telling stories around the camp fire with Molly. She's had a really interesting life. She has traveled all over the world and even went to save the orangutans with her daughter. Her daughter was rustling up poachers when she was twelve ! ...
... than VT? I'm not sure yet. I'd hoped to stay a couple of days at Lake Winnipesaukee, but it's too touristy for our tastes. I'd wanted to canoe, but would probably have gotten run over by a tour boat, with tourists snapping pictures all the while. Tomorrow we'll head up through the White Mountains (there's a difference, VTs are Green) and hike for a couple of days. ...
... we don't have the power cord to our nice camera - we're stuck with a cell phone picture.
This bald eagle is actually a juvenile, and doesn't have the white head yet. We expect that next year, he'll be about 5 years old and have his white head.
