We've been keeping relatively busy up here this trip, even without any plumbing emergencies. Two trips to Anaconda for meetings and to pick up some forgotten necessities help to keep us busy.

Yesterday and today, both, we got out for a nice cross country ski. Today it was a sunny day and more pleasant. We don't ski far, like in the olden days, but ...

Tuesday morning was the departure time from Helena. The destination was Georgetown Lake and our snowbound place on the lakeshore. The roadway was in good traveling shape and with the sun shining, the scenery was outstanding, as usual. A quick stop at a pullover near Butte yielded a great opportunity for a panorama of Uptown Butte, the Big "M" and the snowy Pintlars.

Not too much snow in Anaconda, but it increased as the lake was approached. Lots of ice ...

... to date. I get to Anaconda every other day or so to keep in touch with the World of Serenity. It works for me.

... has given me a new appreciation for KOA "kamping". It's fun playing the campground roulette, trying to get Internet to secure a place to stay for the night, so far we have been lucky and not needed to do any roadside sleeping or Wal Mart parking lot sleeping (not too many of them on the routes we have been going.)

The boys finished up the laundry, 4 BIG loads, and we all happily folded and re-distributed the clothes ...

I forgot to mention that yesterday when I left here for Butte, that a large cow elk ran across the road in front of me. I didn't have the good camera ready, so you'll have to take my word for it. In all the years, since 1976, that we've been coming up here, I've seen elk only twice. This is the third time. Quite a thrill for an Ol' Guy...
