Nancy writes again

Our next overnight stop found us once again at the Fairmont RV park near Butte, Montana. The skies had been dark, hot and threatening as we drove in, and it was nice to already know how that park was laid out.

I forgot to mention that yesterday when I left here for Butte, that a large cow elk ran across the road in front of me. I didn't have the good camera ready, so you'll have to take my word for it. In all the years, since 1976, that we've been coming up here, I've seen elk only twice. This is the third time. Quite a thrill for an Ol' Guy...

... the mid 70's during the day and last night it went down to around 40!!!! Today is gorgeous. We are in a great little rv park and we face a large field with horses and cows with the mountains in the background. It is quiet and lovely so we are staying three days. Paul gets really worn out driving so we try and take nice long breaks! Yesterday we were going about 60 mph and a mama duck and her one little baby ...

We had a great time. Lisa, our daughter, and her husband, Rich came up from Auburn, Washington with their fine fox terrier, Madison. We hiked and biked and just enjoyed one another in general.
