After being denied room service, we were antsy so we watched Friday the 13th and chilled on the terrace. This place beats Maldives in the stargazing department as well. I think every square inch of the sky is covered with stars. I would bring a telescope if I ever come back here because it is quite remarkable looking. I would also bring a camera that takes nice night shots of stars. ...

... from the water. It looks like a paradise but we cannot say it's a unique place - it reminds us the Maldives islands in the Indian ocean. Anyway it's so good that we do not want to compare, we just have a fun. There are many young couples here that have their honey moon, and we also feel like them.

... shapes, enshrined in clouds, the lush vegetation, very beautiful. Then we drove on the loop road and circled the entire island, stopping at various shops (that were open). The nice pearl jewelries (in the nice jewelry stores) really made me drool:-).

Bob had very good memory. He spotted the local jeweler house where we bought me a necklace 7 years ago. We stopped there. The same young French lady even though she did not remember me. The puppy Bob thought ...

... the harbour front is really), so unlike too many places nowadays. Us tourists are there, but there’s not that many of us, so they just get on with it.

Talking about tourists, we were amazed to find out how few actually visit Tahiti. We were given a figure of a low in 2008 or 2009 of under 100,000!! Movieworld on the Gold Coast most likely gets that in a month. They are thrilled that numbers are increasing. I think 160 or 180 last year maybe. ...

Did you know that before Mikimoto, the Japanese gentleman who “invented” pearl farming, more than 10,000 oysters had to be opened before finding one with a pearl?
