But then she notices a big banner across the door welcoming Michael and his horse (who?!) to Sigishoara for riding 'halfway home' from Moscow. So after sups she forges across the square, dragging a reluctant Guy with her, to join the celebration. ... mentioned that he could use a little hot pepper in the sauce, Livia agreed, and Sándor jumped up from the table and ran out the door. We wondered at this odd behavior, especially since he was gone for a while, when Sándor reappeared with a handful of hot peppers, which he had obviously just picked from his not-so-nearby home garden in response to Livia’s wish. Since this was our last meal in the village, we talked about various things we’d ...

... football (soccer) game the following night in downtown Istanbul, which was why the flights were so booked up. Waiting a few hours to see if 19 people got stuck in traffic seemed like a fools errand, but I sure did not wan to spend another night there. Sure enough, everyone showed up and I was told the check back the following evening for a more open flight to Turkey. It was time for a beer to help me contemplate my options.
      It was ...
