Goodbye Germany, hello Czech!
... bell! We had a group dinner at the Prague opera house and got to see the city all lit up at night. It continues to be hot, even at night the temperature has barely dropped but luckily our new hotel has AC. Tomorrow will be a long day. A look at Eastern Europe.....
... and abandoned graffiti-covered stations, some with windows broken and piles of rubble all around. Most of the houses seemed to be nicely maintained and a few had large solar panels on the roof. It was evident that I was now in the Czech Republic, as the signs had changed and some of the letters now had little "ticky marks" above them.

... more about the experience of Eastern Europe during the war and post-war years I found so fascinating. It has definitely inspired me to start planning a trip to Eastern Europe sometime next year. I'm keen to see Poland, Hungary and maybe a little Slovakia and Bulgaria thrown in..... but getting a little ahead of myself!

Ben bought two new shirts at Loveparade and has been waiting to wear them ever since. He wore one the day after but got a lot of looks and we figured it was insensitive to wear the shirt in Germany considering what happened. So now we're finally in a different country and he wore the shirt on pubcrawl. Germany and the Czech Republic have absolutely no dress code by the way, it's excellent.
