... next section it can be a complete catastrophe. Down low the heat and humidity suffocating, the weather up high…cold!

So, we were travelling from one side of Valais to the opposite end and up 3000 ft. Hmmm….so I packed shorts, pants, t-shirts, long sleeved shirts, runners, swim suits (because it’s summer and there might be a lake…), rain gear, an umbrella, sunscreen, hats, sunglasses….oh yeah… and chocolate.

Following the Everest week this day was supposed to be a genuine rest day, the first of the trip. I would cruise down the valley into the Valais region and camp near the turn off for Zermatt, before deciding whether to take the dead-end uphill detour to Zermatt the following day in hope of seeing the Matterhorn Mountain.

... on this leg of the drive and didn't want to have another sleep so we pulled over at a beautiful spot on top of a mountain and let him run around on the grass which he absolutely loved!
