Following the Everest week this day was supposed to be a genuine rest day, the first of the trip. ... the river walk was much nicer. We got to town and found the church that marked the start of our first hike last night. That long hour hike. At some point Anne and I discussed the decision to visit Trummelbach today and all I could say was that it was very cool but it was a shame.

We got to our hotel room and took off our shoes and put up our feet. We were hungry but we made due with what food we had in the room. The restaurant was across the street and we were not going to walk that far tonight.
