Today I headed off North to Nagano on a morning bullet train from Tokyo. Needless to say, I couldn't eat the sashimi and couldn't offload it to anyone else. i did boil one piece of tuna in the soup and it tasted OK.

The big boss of the ryokan, usually a woman, came out to thank us for staying. I guess she ...

... and I didn't touch and dessert was mango pudding and some small Japanese plums that tasted like a mix between plums and grapes. Joseph and the pudding and I had his plums.

After dinner, it was back to the room for more laundry. The staff had made our beds up and rolled out the futons. I should have placed another mattress underneath. Just having only one futon was a little hard. It will be two tomorrow night.
