... Castle, which as fate would have it looked awesome under the snow. Adam found some more stitch merch including a coin with him printed in front of the castle. When we where inside I introduced him to the stairs of death... really you could easily die on these stairs they are more of a wall then stairs. After a quick tour we went back to the station to catch a bus to the hotel. Stopping only once to check out an anime store.

Today is the day to venture up to the Japanese Alps to Myokokogan. Marina was lovely enough to drop us over to the train rather than us having to go all the way back down to Nagano and back up on the other line. ... yummy looking snacks so on the way down had to buy some to try. First was a giant rice cracker with black sesame, very nice. Next were some steamed buns, similar to Chinese style but a bit flatter. I had a red bean paste one and an eggplant and Scott had a red bean paste and a vegetable. They were delicious. ... next to a group of them, they just looked at me and looked away and kept doing what they wanted. I had always wanted to see them with the icicles hanging off their faces and managed to get a photo one who had them, gorgeous.
