The travel plans today were going to be quite simple. At 10am, we were taking the Shinkansen from Nagano to Matsumoto, arriving at 10.49am. We were going to Matsumoto Castle, then back to Nagano and to Zenkoji temple.

It was freezing at the dam, even colder than at the peak at Murodo. The dam had an elevation of only 1450m but the wind was freezing. It was a great view of the dam but did not have enough time to go right to the top.
