... really early here - 4:30 a.m. and goes down at 6:30 p.m. They do not do daylight savings time here. The sun is very bright and beautiful. Haven't gone to a Starbucks or McDonalds yet even though I saw 2 of them. The weather here in Sendai area has been sunny, warm at plus 22 - 24 degrees Celsius. Humidity has been 65 - 85 ...

... the town. It was damaged but not obliterated like most towns along the coast. All they worry about now is radiation sickness from the damaged power plants not far away. Our friend never mentioned this! no wonder there weren't many tourists. They're down about 75% from the usual 3 million a year. Too bad because it's really lovely. Samurai Houses and a paradise bay

... Bay where we could almost not find our hotel, but it was beautifully located on a small hill overlooking the Matsushima bay with the small islands.

We immediately were exploring the island that was accessible by the bridge and to capture some of the pictures when the sun was setting.

The hotel and onsen were really nice and the meal was excellent. All variety of sea food nicely prepared overlooking the bay -- just nice
