... really early here - 4:30 a.m. and goes down at 6:30 p.m. They do not do daylight savings time here. The sun is very bright and beautiful. Haven't gone to a Starbucks or McDonalds yet even though I saw 2 of them. The weather here in Sendai area has been sunny, warm at plus 22 - 24 degrees Celsius. Humidity has been 65 - 85 ...

The perils of walking alone in the dark

... the dark was too much to venture back into and followed the cars back towards the train station. There was no footpath here, so I had to walk right next to where cars were flying past at high speeds, without any lighting for them to make me visible. I made myself as visible as I could, turned my music off so I could hear any traffic coming, and started walking back.

I made it back safely, and let Amy know I would be heading back, asking where we should meet up. We were to meet ...

... the Japanese tour guide was talking about. We walked around one of the islands accessible by a small bridge and sat on the cliff enjoying the view. And we read the signs advising where to run (up!) when the next tsunami hits. The next day we were back in Sendai preparing for takeoff, which takes hours of visiting different places in the airport getting papers signed and stamped. And then the next day is actual departure.

... Bay where we could almost not find our hotel, but it was beautifully located on a small hill overlooking the Matsushima bay with the small islands.

We immediately were exploring the island that was accessible by the bridge and to capture some of the pictures when the sun was setting.

The hotel and onsen were really nice and the meal was excellent. All variety of sea food nicely prepared overlooking the bay -- just nice

Had our las two shows of Sendai today, the audience was great in both of them, maintaining the energy towards the pre show that all of the previous shows had. Tonight, Lennea, Chris, Brittany and myself went for dinner and to buy some last minute supplies for our trip to Mount Fuji tomorrow ...
