Going to see the falls of Karuizawa with Eri-chan. Water falls like strings, so some people call them the noodles strings fall or something like that. After we go for lunch, Italian restaurant. I was smelling the garlic while entering to the resto, so wanted to get pasta with a sauce containing garlic... That was in fact the case of all food haha. Even the salad. Little visit to the shrine in Tomioka. Petite visite au temple de Tomioka. Ichi = 1 Miya = castle-chateau By area they have decided to select the first shinto shrine of history. Nagano and Matsumoto

... museum(free entry with castle ticket) which had some decent samurai armour, swords and guns. I then had a wander around Matsumoto which like Nagano moves at a much slower pace than Tokyo and for that reason has a much more relaxed feel.

I then headed back to my hostel in Nagano and had a rest ahead of visiting mt fuji tomorrow and the 4 hour train journey.

This allowed for some great up close photo opportunities. ... photos without anyone else being there. The main sanctum was divided into the inner and the outer. The inner sanctum had tatami mats, which meant that you had to take your shoes off first. Since it closed at 4.30pm and we only had 15 minutes left, it wasn't worth going in. We could walk around the outer sanctum till about 6.30pm.
