... sight seeing tour and since we know Tokyo well enough, we didn't want to do that. John had said that the cost would be about $150 so we though that it was doable. Since John, David and Leith had already activated their rail passes (they are only staying 2 weeks), it wouldn't have cost them as much. These rail passes save us so much money on long trips.

Hi, We had a very exciting journey on the bullet train to Kyoto. It was amazingly smooth and comfortable, as you couldn't feel the high speeds at all.
