... 2 minutes and we were through to the shops already! No scanning. So had over 2 hours to wait around. The shops were a bit boring, although I managed to buy a last minute small bottle of absinthe! The plane left on time at 6.40pm, backing away almost before the last people had a chance to sit down! Back to London. This year, despite being back to 'normal' life, I've managed to spent 86 days out of England. That's 24% of the year abroad. Not too bad!! Wonder if I can beat that next ...

I was equally surprised at how peacefully the party resigned from office after immense public pressure in the Velvet Revolution. For four decades this party ravaged this country with death and destruction and in the end when 500,000 people protested for their resignation, they did just that.
