Today I headed off North to Nagano on a morning bullet train from Tokyo. I will be using Nagano as a base for visiting other locations over my 2 day stay here due to its ease of commuting back to Tokyo. ... finish them and most of us gave our extras to Joseph, who was pretty hungry as it was close to 3pm.

We returned to the hotel for a nap. The bad thing about staying at a ryokan is that there is no bed. The futons are rolled up during the day and rolled out for us during dinner. Joseph and to drag out two futons for me to nap in. Slept for about an hour and woke up just in time to have a shower and to go down for ...

... Robert was almost decapitated by the train doors on the way up. He thought that the train would stop for a few minutes and stuck his head out. The doors closed suddenly and luckily for him, his reflexes were slightly quicker than his wit. We couldn't help but laugh. I guess the situation would be different if he really did get hurt.
