... bought a couple of things. We drafted into Gondo Arcade Street, which is an enclosed mall area stretching down a whole street or two. We stopped after the first street as going any further would take us further away from the hotel.

... walk through the winter walk where workers have to walk for 20km for 6 hours. There was a monkey sitting on the top of the stairs so it became a choice of whether we wanted a photo of the monkey or that of a train going over the red bridge. In the end, the train on the bridge won out.

... a lot more. We stopped by a museum by the train station and just walked around the streets of Unazuki Onsen. Had a late lunch of sandwiches at the Mozart Cafe. There were no photos of the food except for the cakes. The others at the cafe said to order the sandwiches, so we did. ... derailed somewhere in Kyushu and there was another in Tokyo. Kyoto Station had flooded and we would not have been able to go to Naoshima Island. This is the first time we have had any problems with the typhoon. We had already missed Typhoon Phanfone. Hopefully, with Kurobe being in the mountains, we would miss the worst of Typhoon Vongfong.
