Today we visited the UNESCO town of Telc. Pronounced Telch like belch. Un untouched 16th. century town.

Had a limited castle tour as they are filming the movie "Emperor". Barbara auditioned for a solo and got the part!! Only problem, we can't be here for the rest of the filming.

... or downright ugly? We ended our visit with yet another drinking experience-a wonderful mead-something the monks made way bak when to sell to the locals.

... There were only three of us on the English tour so we could ask as many questions as we wanted. It was quite interesting and we could take pictures of whatever we wanted to. I guess the Czechs have nothing to hide about their beer. We were taken to all the facilities of the beer making process, including the well where they get their pure water for the beer. ... and at times you can just lie back, take in the sights, the sounds and the sun and let the flow of the river take you downstream, altogether pretty cool if you ask me. ... they kept saying was “niet” which we assumed meant no parking, which was stupid.there was no sign. it didnt matter that they didnt understand us, we still proclaimed innocence, pointing to our paid parking reciept, eventually, they unclamped the volvo and we are able to drive off. I guess it was easier to do that than listen to us whinging. success!
we never made it to the beer factory here after all that, and drove on to Cesky Krumlov down the road.
