... abilities.. (To begin with). Overall we managed to fit in lots of sights but by taking the scenic route and it felt like we must have gone down nearly every road in Prague! It seemed we had worse directions with a map than without.. We both agreed this was a beautiful city, one which reminded us on Venice but navigation was impossible! One good 'short cut' we made, took us past lidl (our fav!!) so we stocked us on Danishes, nectarines and water, by this time ...

... is nearby- it is a majestic building and has the interesting name of "The Ball Game Hall". The huge deep Stag Moat divides the castle complex from this very lovely garden.

... was selling freshly made traditional Czech pastries. It was fun to watch them being made and we had some fresh – just what we needed! The overnight train had not been as restful as we thought as we were both quite suddenly very tired. The rain was our cue to head back to our accommodation and have a nap.

... The lunch special of authentic Bohemian goulash in a bread bowl sounded intriguing, so we opened the door. We were at first puzzled, thinking we had picked the wrong door. We walked into a narrow hallway, not a hint of a restaurant anywhere. Suddenly a side door flew open and a natty gentleman dressed as a waiter asked if we would like to be seated. We nodded quizzically and he scooted us through the door. Right into a 19th century Bohemian dining room .
