My last two days in Tenerife

... some consultations. I definitely had a good time in Gynecology, and witnessing the C. Sections definitely helped confirm my decision to become a doctor. Though I missed shadowing, I knew I couldn't miss my final opportunity to teach in Base5, so at about 12:30, I dressed myself up and ran over to the hospital--for what would ultimately be my last time. ... unit. Unfortunately, today was a very quiet day and they only had two patients on the unit. Mary Hunter and I stood around for awhile and didn't get to see anything too exciting, so after about a half hour, one of the residents took us down to la planta where other patients were staying.

On Saturday we all got in our big coach bus and traveled down to the south for the beach. The beach was called ...

Week 4

... at their place or in a local café from now on since there are so few of us. I'm really excited to see some new parts of the city and to hang out with some Spanish doctors! Marc invited me to shadow him next week, so I'm going to see if I can set something up with the hospital.

A lot has happened in these four weeks, and I'm still trying to make the most out of every moment. I can't wait to go back to the hospital, and I'm so excited to see what the next week holds!
