Sugarland suites, Ormoc City 21/01/11 - 31/01/11

After looking for choice number one in Ormoc city we found choice number three on the list of place, Sugarland suites. I parked the bike outside and ventured in, dirty faced and a little tired. The two young ladies on the desk had greeted me before i had even got to the top of the stairs, ' …

VFV is the primary sponsor, meaning all the supplies, health care workers and volunteers are paid and coordinated through them.

... The guy who kept saying "huh? what?" when we asked questions. He was complaining about poor hearing. Turns out, he has a cockroach in his EAR! Even the nurses were grossed out and said they'd never heard of or seen such a thing.
Then there was a lady who came in with a little girl, her name was Jinky. Her siblings names... Winky, and Binky. True story.

After Pastrana we head to Robinson's (which is now our normal afternoon ...

I just went with the flow and tried my best to speak the little Waray-Waray that I learned to find out why the patients came in for the day, and created new records if the previous ones could not be found. Tonight a couple of us decided that we didn't want to take another ...

At this time the pool became a little less appealing and we just sat on the edge enjoying the environment. Unfortunately we experienced a drowning of a little boy. They took him away and they said that he was breathing, but he did not look like he was in a very good condition when they placed him in the ambulance. This sort of ruined the mood of the ...

Its the staff that make or break a place. As i climbed the stairs before i have reached the top, they were already greeting me. Whilst the discount rate was only available 7pm to 7am the room i got was perfectly adequate. Double bed, cable tv ac, the cr was a wet room and the shower cold and almost a single pipe form the wall, but I am a believer in a hotel room should only be a place to sleep shower and gather your thoughts after a day exploring.......I really liked this hotel, the restaurant whilst a little expensive, served great food. Certainly recommended despite the mouse and giant cockroach that shared the room with us.
