We dropped of Hiroto back at the hostel and we headed back to Obihiro again. The weather looks threatening and Momo's mum called to warn us for the hurricane coming over Hokkaido. The wind was getting stronger and the fog was heavy but it wasn't to bad as we thought it would be. I was so tired after this lovely but intensive weekend that I slept almost right away. I slept like a log that night.
... who stay in the hostel. They are all Japanese except me. Most of them can speak a little English. I talked a bit with Takao a Japanese maths teacher. Japanese people are kind of preserved. They try to keep their life secret for you. So they will do if they didn't hear your question or they try to be very secret about it and talk around it.
And after a nice skype session with my parents it is already bed time. The beds are so soft!
... decks and windows to be able to see the animals very close or almost being in the middle of them. Unfortunately the animals were held alone, without pairs or groups, most of them mentally switched off, doing there endless rounds to have at least some escape from theri boredome.
Sad to see that this type of zoos still exist, we have zoos as well but very modern with motivated animals

Carried on to Asahikawa, where we have had another beer festival at the station. The weather was now definitely turing into rain. This ruined our plan to climb Asahidate an active volcano and we planned for next day another excursion
Thanks to the lady at the tourist information we found an excellent restaurant close by the hotel. Original Japanese food and we enjoyed very much
