Today we left our lovely guesthouse in Nagoya and headed for one of the worlds most famous sights- Mount Fuji. We took a train to Odawara, changed to a smaller one, then 15mins later changed to an even smaller one. And started weaving our way up mountains and through massive valleys towards Hakone. Soaking in an onsen in Ito, plus tokyo cont'd
... I think around new year`s I`ll go again only this time to Fujikyu land; an amusement park, that`s really famous here for the good rollercoasters :P
So next time I`ll tell you about my time in Nikko and Kyoto, about the wide variety of vending machines here and about all the other stuff I`ve done so far. For now, more weird foods: apple fanta, creme brulee flavoured beer, pickled plum, pickled egg plant and something I`ve seen but not yet tried: green tea flavored kitkat.

Como veréis, ¡aquí por fin salimos los 3 juntos!
Esto es gracias al guía con el que hicimos la excursión (Augusto). Altamente recomendable, muy atento y simpático, aguantó pacientemente todas las preguntas qué hicimos sobre el Fuji y sobre todas las japonesadas que habíamos visto...

Shuzenji Onsen, Izu Peninsula
... on a bed of large stones and wooden platform, surrounded by a charming village and forest covered mountains. All the ryokans and minshukus have their own private onsens. Some places lux and lavish, some simple. But the waters are soft and relaxing no matter where you stay. The town is calm and quiet. Food great. A wonderful weekend getaway.
