... moving onto Takayama, Veronica packed the suitcases while I took Charlotte and Angela for one last walk around Nagano, stopping at Baskin Robbins for ice creams before calling past the starbucks for coffees for Veronica and myself, before turning in for the night.

... he even had a quick run through the castle in an attempt to find it before we'd left the castle grounds, but his efforts were unsuccessful. No matter. It gives me a good excuse to spend a little bit more time in the next Bic Camera or whatever other camera and electronics store we come across.

Day 12 - Nagano. Now we're cold.

... while Veronica and the other 2 girls finished their breakfast, but before too long we were off. We didn't get far, because the best bread shop in the world, Vie De France, strangely interrupted our progress by forcing us to stop, go inside and purchase bread products to eat later on the Shinkansen to Nagano.

A few stops on an uncomfortably crowded local train from Kawasaki to Tokyo, and then we had our tickets booked for the Shinkansen to Nagano.
