... fights now and then, stirred up the water, quite a sight. Albert the octopus was still in the coral rock beneath the boat dock. Cute guy!

After dinner we went to Ira an Fran's bungalow and watched the video Fran took of the 2 octopi in Rarotonga. It was fantastic!

Tomorrow we will leave the island around 4:20pm. Our flight to Papeete is at 7pm, then we'll take the red-eye to LA. Time to go home. Both Bob and I miss home and miss our doggies!

... village team. It didn’t matter that the night of the singing and dancing finals we had to sit on the ground as the drizzle turned to a steady rain, wise enough not to seek shelter under those lethal palm trees. It was a magical night in a magical place, Colin somehow even managed to make friends with the biggest and burliest young South-seas islanders you have ever seen.

As we gradually got soaked, the music grew ever louder, ...

We made it to Bora Bora!!! Lakieta, this day is for you. This is a beautiful island with lush-green volcanic peaks, huge lagoon, and a chain of sandy motu flanking its coast. Bora Bora's lagoon is 3 times as large as the land portion of the island. The road around the island is 19.5 miles.

Mt. Otemanu is a dramatic green tower that juts from the center of the island. It is ...
