          ... but no show. A nice young Japanese guy asked us if we were okay, so Rod phoned the hotel and he spoke with them. Turns out it was a miscommunication and our pick up was 11:55 and not as soon as our train arrived. The young people are great at helping as they want to practice their English.           Today we take a bus into the mountains to visit the Snow monkeys. The monkeys live near a hot spring and will sit in the hot springs right through winter to keep warm. The bus ride is 1 hour and has some stunning views. You have to walk 1.5ks through a beautiful forest to get to the entrance of monkey park. Now as the snow is melting the path is very wet and muddy.

          The hotel at the airport was, well an airport hotel so not much write home about… but Japan on the other hand…

          Can’t wait to chat to our Japanese friends back at JSK to explain what a country they’ve got.
