... we managed to get through the bus ride and get off without getting jumped, checked in our bags and were on our way.

Airport and flight were uneventful. Logan and I got pizza in the airport which looked like it had chicken on it. Come to find it was tuna....a little strange. But otherwise very uneventful. Once in Turkey, we paid for our visa, went through immigration, grabbed our bags and then had to figure out the metro. Note: you pay for the ...

... grand bazaar and the spice market, we walked around and around. Beautiful sunny day and warm in the sun, for morning tea we had a freshly squeezed apple juice and orange juice which was amazing and only 2.50TL. Burak, our guide, pointed out places of interest and gave us ...

Trial and tribulation of travel

Another travel day - up early to be collected at 5:30 for our flight to Athens, timing bad at Istanbul flight not until 3:00pm :( Long wait at airport. Turkish air changed gates 3 times before we boarded. On an 1.5 hr fight fed us - but so late into the flight that they had just finished giving out the trays when the were almost ripping them out of hands because the captain announced 15 minutes to landing, then took 1/2 hr. Arrived in Turkey - ...
