... I went for stuffed green peppers which was absolutely delicious. Dan went for the Locro which was a stew of corns, beans, and some sort of meat she wasn't sure of! This will be the sort of "street food" that I will have to get used to eating when we hit Bolivia.

Returned to hostel about 6.30pm absolutely exhausted and early to bed.

... His red wine is poured with lunch. Made from Malbec, Tannat and Merlot, the funk in the nose blows off with time in the glass. It matches very well with appetizers of tamals made with local grazed beef and a dish of fried provolone cheese drizzled with local honey. Jorge and Victor have a nice surprise for everyone: bottles of Amalaya red blend and Torrentes from yesterday's visit to Colome. ... this will also mean a tumble dry. We then bagged up remaining belongings and put out in the baking sun. The idea being the plastic bags will lift the heat enough to kill them. We have an ideal terrace for this. We then washed clothes we were standing in and put out in sun. Essentially we then had to hang around naked for a while. Man! I hope this works.
