... day! I really REALLY wanted to see a bear on our trail. There were warning signs about the bears as we were ascending the mountains. We learned later on that people wear bells to scare away the bears, and lots of the climbers had bells so my dream of hugging a mountain bear were crushed. haha. Today we went to Susobana ES. It was a large school of about 700 students. We were told schools aren't allowed to be much bigger than that. We presented to 3 different groups about our school. Today we went to Naganuma ES. This school was out in the country. They had their own orchard of cherry, plum, and apple trees. They grew their own sweet potatoes, corn, rice fields, and other veggies. The students plant and take care of their "mini" farm. This school also gets a lot the help and volunteers from the community. Very small school 100 students and 8 teachers. We ...
