Knowing he would have English speaking guests, he had kindly translated tonight's menu into English and printed it out for us. The food is surprisingly delicious and beautifully plated, you don't quite expect a French chef in a family type resort in Kusatsu. Our room overlooks the train line and Nagano train station, so we get to see the trains come and go, even the Shinkansen.
We take a walk around the area and find a supermarket to get some breakfast supplies.

What a great nights sleep in a real bed. We both slept really well and the noise from the trains did not bother us at all. Opening the blinds reveals a magnificent day with nothing but blue sky and ...

The hotel at the airport was, well an airport hotel so not much write home about… but Japan on the other hand…

Can’t wait to chat to our Japanese friends back at JSK to explain what a country they’ve got.

I hope the kids remember and savour it as there won’t be many more interesting and fun countries they ...
