Tonight we are staying outside of Aalborg. We travelled to Skagen which is located at the northern tip of the Jutland peninsula. It is a major shipping centre and fishing town. During the summer it is also a tourist town. Very quaint houses - likely many are vacation rentals. Then we headed back south to Aalborg where we will stay overnight before taking the ferry to Sweden tomorrow ...

... just near the little settlement of Fjaltring. The 2 little shelters were already occupied so we pitched our tent nearby and drifted off to sleep with the sound of the waves nearby.

... t see much. Arrived at the campsite just outside Hirtshals around 8pm. Local restaurant was closed so we picked up some food and drink at a local store and headed back to our cabin. We'd booked some simple bunks but the guy on the front desk convinced us for a little more we could have a basic cabin. Probably not a bad call. It gets dark a lot later here, after 9pm and will only get later as we head north and mid summers ...

... said that this would be a good place to continue towards Karlsruhe as this is the connecting road between Stuttgart, Heilbronn and Karlsruhe.

It had been a long day and wanted to find a place to put up our tent and sleep. The first night of the trip we slept next to a corn field, hoping that the farmer would not come and yell at us in the morning. The sky was clear and stars were bright - it was nice!
