With time for a beer at the lake before returning the bikes, we then head down to swim in the lake. Cooler than we were expecting, we are pleased to have been in anyway. And I am pleased that I did come here after all.

... of Heviz Lake; the world’s biggest biologically active natural medicinal lake and the second largest thermal lake in the world. A couple of days enjoying the sun in lake country is just what we needed.

Zack and I just spent the last week at the largest and most popular lake in Hungary: Lake Balaton. The lake is HUGE, as in the average width of the lake is 5 miles across. Besides admiring the vastness of the lake, we also "enjoyed" seeing lots of sunburnt skin - as in more skin than anyone ever needs to see. Ever. We also cooked LOTS of Hungarian food, drank wine (which the region is famous for), and attended a genuine Hungarian birthday party.

But here it's just an inside joke with myself.
I had my first legit goulash. Was super good, especially after waiting until 9 thirty for dinner. If I'd know it's be so late I would have gotten two dinners in!
At the hostel ...
... the trees. One German group of boys kept unclipping each other and cursing at each other in German. Don't even ask why I understood them.
When we were finished Alex came running towards me and Dad and didn't see the big thick metal wire in front of him. He got clothes-lined bad. The wire hit him square on the jaw and knocked him on to the ground. Ouch.
Then we checked into our hotel, went to the market and had dinner. ...
